An 18-year-old was arrested for alleged involvement in the latest in a string of incidents involving followers at WNBA video games launching brightly coloured intercourse toys toward the court during recreation motion. 

Kaden Lopez was taken into custody by Phoenix police while inside PHX Arena after he allegedly threw a “green dildo” and struck a man and his 9-year-old niece during Tuesday’s contest between the Mercury and Sun, FOX 10 Phoenix reported on Wednesday night time. 

Lopez was booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct, assault and public show of express inappropriate materials and appeared in court on Wednesday.

The Phoenix Police Department confirmed to The Post that an grownup male was arrested on Aug. 5, around 8:03 p.m. local time, associated to the incident, and that the individual had been cooperative with officers. 

“Ultimately, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will make the final decision on prosecution,” a division spokesperson said.

The incident in Phoenix is just the latest in an epidemic of comparable cases where followers have launched objects toward the court during video games. The intercourse toys made their means onto the courts during a recreation between the Valkyries and Dream in Atlanta on July 29, the Valkyries and Sky in Chicago on Aug. 1, and the Fever and Sparks in Los Angeles on Aug. 5.
