Tiger Woods sent sweet message to mom during TGL | Golf News

Golf famous person Tiger Woods is mourning the loss of his beloved mom, Kultida Woods, who has handed away at age 80. Just a matter of days in the past, during his first TGL occasion, cameras captured a tender second as Kultida cheered her son’s efficiency from the stands.

Despite his crew’s initial defeat, Woods vowed playfully to his mom, as she watched on: “Hey Mom. Not gonna suck tonight, OK?” The household is but to disclose her trigger of death.

Woods paid homage to his late mom on social media Tuesday: “It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, passed away early this morning.

“My Mom was a pressure of nature all her own, her spirit was merely plain. She was fast with the needle and a chuckle. She was my greatest fan, biggest supporter, with out her none of my personal achievements would have been attainable.

“She was loved by so many, but especially by her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie. Thank you all for your support, prayers and privacy at this difficult time for me and my family. Love you Mom.”

TGL, co-founded by golf legends Woods and Rory McIlroy, expressed their condolences with a heartfelt message: “Our thoughts are with the Woods family. We extend our deepest condolences.”

The United States Golf Association additionally shared their sympathies, stating, “We’re so sorry for your loss, Tiger.”

On June 11, 2024, the USGA honored Woods with the celebrated 2024 Bob Jones Award, recognizing his extraordinary achievements as a 15-time main champion and nine-time USGA champion. During his acceptance speech, Woods paid tribute to his mom Kultida’s profound impression on his life and profession

“My mom doesn’t get enough credit,” he acknowledged. “Everyone thought it was my dad when I went on the road, which it was, but Mom was at home. If you don’t know, Mom has been there my entire life. She’s always been there through thick and thin.

“She has allowed me to get right here. She allowed me to do this stuff, chase my goals, and the assist and love – I did not do that alone. I had the best rock that any youngster might presumably have: my mom. Thank you, Mommy.”

While Woods is set to host the upcoming Genesis Invitational starting February 13, his participation remains uncertain following his mother’s death.

Woods, in a statement to NBC, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support: “Thank you all to your assist, prayers and privateness at this tough time for me and my household,”.
