Romeo Beckham reportedly delivered a heartwarming speech at his well-known father David Beckham’s fiftieth birthday bash this weekend. The former Brentford footballer commanded the room in London where his older brother, Brooklyn Beckham, failed to seem.

On Saturday (May 3), Hollywood A-listers like Tom Cruise and Eva Longoria piled into the Michelin-starred Core in Notting Hill to have a good time David’s milestone second. The ex-Manchester United legend’s household was also in tow, with spouse Victoria Beckham, 51, Harper Seven, 13, and sons Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, making appearances.

Despite allegedly being invited, David and Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn, 26, and his spouse, Nicola Peltz, 30, didn’t attend the star-studded occasion. It was therefore up to Romeo to step up in his sibling’s absence to raise a toast to his dad.

The London birthday party comes after the former Real Madrid star kicked off his birthday celebrations in Miami, Florida.

The Mirror writes that ahead of the bash, Romeo stood up once again to deliver a speech, suggesting he knew his brother would not be attending the dinner in the UK capital.

While Brooklyn and Nicola were absent from the celebrations in London and at the family’s party at their Cotswolds mansion earlier in the week, David was no short of guests.

The likes of his former teammate, Gary Neville, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay were in attendance.

Taking to social media to gush about David, Gary, who turned 50 in February, wrote: “Happy 50th mate. You’re the best! Stand still today for once and reflect on everything you have achieved and done in these first 50 years of your life.

“We’ve gained, misplaced, laughed and cried but had probably the most unimaginable instances collectively. I can still see our mums and dads in the gang. Everything you have carried out has come through humility, care and onerous work. I’m proud of you and more importantly trust you with my life. All my love to you.”
