Say what you’ll about President Trump, but it is plain that he is breaking some new ground in his numerous appointments. He’s remaking the Pentagon, he is remodeling all of our worldwide commerce offers, and he is reforming federal law enforcement. Most notable of that final activity is the new management the president has put in place at the FBI.

On Sunday, Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo (who I keep is one of the best in the business) hosted FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino in a free-wheeling dialogue that coated a lot of ground. Earlier as we speak, my colleague Susie Moore coated some fascinating segments of FBI Director Patel and Deputy Director Bongino’s remarks:

There are a few more highlights that bear watching. First, January sixth:

What an fascinating time and place to draw and emphasize that distinction. Shall we take that to imply that there have been no FBI brokers in the group on J6 – but there have been belongings? If so, what have been those belongings doing? Who despatched them there? What instructions, if any, did they’ve?

There is a lot more in that interview, most notably some commentary from Director Patel about the border, particularly, the northern border, where human traffickers and drug smugglers have turned their consideration now that the southern border is successfully under control. The border between the United States and Canada presents a complete new suite of difficulties, not least of which is that important parts of it are water – the Great Lakes and locations like Minnesota’s Lake of the Woods. But with one border under control, we are able to presumably focus consideration on the opposite.
