One thing gives Knicks hope in their dismal…

INDIANAPOLIS — Anyone who has seen “The Shawshank Redemption” is aware of there are two methods to view hope.

There is Red’s perception that “hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane.”

Then there’s Andy’s sentiment that “hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”

The Knicks’ success on the street gives followers a motive to select the latter.

They journey to Indiana trailing 0-2 in the Eastern Conference finals.

“The whole year we played well on the road,” Josh Hart mentioned after the Knicks’ 114-109 Game 2 loss to the Pacers on Friday evening at Madison Square Garden. “We’ve played well on the road in the playoffs. That’s a tough place to play. Their crowd comes and shows love and support. But we’re a good road team. That always gives us confidence.”

The Knicks are 5-1 on the street this postseason in contrast to just 3-5 at home.

In the common season, they have been 24-17 away from the Garden.

The Pacers, on the opposite hand, defend their home court properly.

They are 4-1 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse this postseason and went 29-11 at home in the common season.

The Knicks is perhaps enjoying away from their followers for two video games, but Jalen Brunson had a message for them.

“They’ve always been there through the ups and the downs,” Brunson mentioned. “They’re very educated sports activities followers. For me, I assume what I need to say to them, we’ve to proceed to struggle. So it’s going to take someday at a time, one sport at a time.

“We can’t look ahead, we can’t think about anything other than just Game 3 at this point. That’s just my mindset going forward.”
