Ryan Seacrest reveals odd nickname he has for | TV Shows
Wheel of Fortune fans were in hysterics after hearing Ryan Seacrest’s nickname for Vanna White.
Despite their rough start that involved feud rumors, the two hosts seem to have found their groove working together as Seacrest has gotten comfortable enough to give his co-host a nickname.
During the latest episode, Ryan referenced Vanna as “V-Dubs.”
Viewers quickly took to Reddit with their thoughts on the host’s new name.
One said: “unrelated to my other recent tweets, Ryan Seacrest just called Vanna White “V-Dubs” on Wheel of Fortune LOLOL.”
On X, a fan wrote: “She always smiles when she’s around him.”
Another added: “LOVE THEM TOGETHER.”
“Ryan and the whole crew are a perfect fit,” a third commented.
Ryan Seacrest joined Wheel of Fortune last September. This was the first time Vanna White had worked alongside anyone else aside from Pat Sajak since she joined the game show in 1982.
In the beginning of Ryan’s time on the show, sources close to Vanna told RadarOnlinecom that the host was having a hard time transitioning to someone new by her side.
“It’s not that she doesn’t like Ryan, but her chemistry with Pat was just much more natural,” the source explained. “With Ryan, it feels forced and she doesn’t want that to come across to loyal viewers.”
She previously admitted: “I thought maybe I should retire, too,”
Since then, Vanna and Ryan have warmed up to each other.
While starring on CBS Sunday Morning, she confessed: “I had no idea what to expect when I’m used to one person for so long. I was very scared – but he’s doing a great job!”
“I think our chemistry is good,” she added.
Mirroring the appreciation, Ryan has also gushed about his co-host. When speaking to People, he shared: “She’s so super generous and sweet and kind.”
Wheel of Fortune airs on ABC every weeknight at 7:30 pm EST.
