Tiger Woods, extensively regarded as one of the best golfers ever, has a daughter, Sam, who reveals no curiosity in following in her father’s {golfing} footsteps.

The 49-year-old golf icon’s son, Charlie, hasn’t yet demonstrated the identical stage of consistency that catapulted his father to legendary standing. Woods supplied a frank clarification for why Sam does not share his and Charlie’s ardour for golf. “She has, I think, a negative connotation to the game because at that time… when she was growing up, golf took daddy away from her,” the 49-year-old revealed final 12 months.

“I had to pack, and I had to leave and I was gone for weeks and there was a negative connotation to it. So we developed our own relationship, our own rapport that’s outside of golf, that we do things that don’t involve golf. Meanwhile, my son and I, we do everything golf-related. It’s very different.”

Despite failing to qualify for the U.S. Open for the second consecutive 12 months, Charlie clinched his first Amateur Junior Golf Association title by topping the leaderboard at the Team TaylorMade Invitational.

During his victory, Charlie confessed that he was solely targeted on the sport and did not concentrate to the rest. “I didn’t look at the leaderboard once today,” he shared.

“On the fairway after hitting the green on 18, he’s [Woods’ caddie] like, ‘You make par here, you’re going to be fine.’He added: “Being ready to say to myself that I gained an completely superb occasion and to say I carried out under some high-pressure conditions is just big going ahead.

“I haven’t been able to say that I have done that, and now that I can, it is just a big thing for my mental game going forward.”
