Starkweather murdered eleven people (and two canines) in Nebraska and Wyoming between November 1957 and January 1958, when he was just 19 years outdated (per Ultimate Guitar).
Ten of those murders befell in an eight-day span, ending with his arrest. He wasn’t alone during his spree, either. The serial killer was accompanied by, and maybe spurred on by, his fourteen-year-old girlfriend, Caril Ann Fugate.
The nature of their relationship is still debated to this day, as during her trial, Fugate claimed that she had been kidnapped and held hostage by Starkweather.

Almost two months later, he made his next kill, a spree of ten murders, which started when Starkweather slaughtered Fugate’s whole household, including her two-month-old sister.
Starkweather and Fugate have publicly disagreed on whether or not or not she was current during the murders or if she was conscious of them.

Starkweather was extradited back to Nebraska, where he was sentenced to death by electric chair, which was carried out on June 25, 1959. He gave no final phrases but in a letter from prison to his mother and father, wrote, “but dad I’m not real sorry for what I did cause for the first time me and Caril have (sic) more fun.”
