Greys Anatomy star talks ideal spinoff with | TV Shows

Grey’s Anatomy has been on air for over twenty years, and it seems that it won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

The medical drama has evolved into an entire universe, including the three spinoff series, Private Practice, Station 19, and Grey’s Anatomy: B Team, that serve as the Grey’s Anatomy franchise. As long as Grey’s Anatomy continues, there will be more room for another spinoff that holds together the fabric of Grey’s on-screen world.

While at the MPTF NextGen Summer Party, Grey’s Anatomy star Camilla Luddington opened up with The Mirror US about potential show spinoffs.

The actress outlined what her ideal Grey’s Anatomy spinoff would entail, even though it might be a “big task” to get done.

“I would love to do a spinoff with Jessica Capshaw,” Camilla said, referring to fellow Grey’s Anatomy co-star. Jessica portrays pediatric and fetal surgeon Dr. Arizona Robert on Grey’s Anatomy, and Camilla plays OB-GYN Dr. Jo Wilson. Part of the reason Camilla wants a spinoff with Jessica is because she’s her “best friend.”

Camilla explained: “I just think that we have so much fun together, and the characters make sense together. Pediatrics and OB, I think it works.”

A synopsis reads: “With a gripping storyline, fast-paced action and comedy, Hotel Costiera follows Daniel De Luca (Jesse Williams), a half Italian former U.S. Marine. Daniel returns to Italy, the land of his childhood, as a fixer in one of the world’s most luxurious hotels, located on the spectacular coastline of Positano.”

In addition to dealing with the wealthy guests’ problems, Daniel is also on the trail of Alice, one of the owner’s daughters who disappeared a month earlier. Daniel must do everything he can to bring her home, but facing those who kidnapped the girl will be more challenging than any problem Daniel has ever faced.

Actress Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, and Sam Haygarth will also star in the upcoming show alongside Jesse.
