Book Sheds New Light on Kamala Campaigns

Of all the hilarious and sudden issues to occur during the 2024 basic election marketing campaign season, the dust-up over Vice President Kamala Harris’ claims about once “doing the fries” at McDonald’s as a school scholar – and then-GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s good response to them – ranks in the highest 5 funniest.

I imply, suppose about it: Who else might pull off exposing Harris’s fraudulent “woman of the people” persona as it associated to supposed middle-class employment at a fast food restaurant higher than Trump, a born showman and businessman whose donning of a McD’s apron, slinging of closely salted French fries, and serving them up sizzling in a rural Pennsylvania drive-thru to excited prospects undoubtedly had even some of his critics mumbling “the man has a point” under their breath?

As it seems, the behind-the-scenes story of what’s being referred to as the “tailspin” that occurred in the Harris marketing campaign over her feedback about working at McDonald’s is sort of hilarious as properly.

No one, not even the Democrat apologists in the mainstream press (though they tried awfully laborious) might ever show Harris’s assertion past relying on the rumour of others in her orbit. But since that time, more digging has been performed. And in addition to studying that Harris allegedly only labored at a McD’s for a couple of weeks, a new guide sheds mild on how Harris’s marketing campaign struggled to determine methods to reply to the backlash once both the conservative mediasphere and Trump solid doubt on her assertion:

Harris’s aides “debated for weeks whether they should respond to Trump’s attacks about McDonald’s,” they write, and “spent weeks agonizing” about the choice.

Harris’s allegedly short stint on the job meant “most advisers didn’t want to lean into her time at McDonald’s, but it polled well,” so Harris did it anyway. When questions emerged, the marketing campaign thought-about deploying Harris’s sister “for a feature story with a lifestyle magazine, but others viewed the story as too risky.”

At one level, the marketing campaign caught wind “that at least one major mainstream news outlet was investigating” Harris’s McDonald’s employment, according to the guide. The revelation induced “alarm inside the campaign,” which “agreed on a statement rehashing her past comments about her time at McDonald’s.”

When Trump himself “did the fries,” Harris watched a video of her rival’s marketing campaign stop and “told aides he was doing it wrong,” the guide reveals. “An aide suggested she could point that out in an interview, but she never did.” 

LOL.

The Free Beacon also famous that the marketing campaign at one level did obtain an invite for Harris to go to a McDonald’s, but they purportedly did not need her to appear to be she was borrowing a web page from Trump’s guide, so it was declined.

There have been so many bumbles and stumbles from the Harris marketing campaign, particularly down the homestretch, and I look ahead to studying more about them from future books and tell-alls. We actually did dodge a catastrophe by not electing her, did not we?
