Tracker suffers major casting blow before filming | TV Shows

After good news pertaining to its future, it appears that the CBS series Tracker is now getting hit with a huge blow ahead of its third season.

Fans have been eager to learn about new episodes of the show, which is set to begin production on a third season soon, but unfortunately, the show will be making its return without some familiar faces.

Despite initially believing two of the show’s stars were going to come back, a shakeup teased by showrunner Elwood Reid has proven to take place–with those same stars now confirmed to have departed the show.

According to a report from TVLine, Eric Graise and Abby McEnany, who portrayed Bobbie and Velma, have left the show.

This leaves only Justin Hartley and Fiona Rene as Colter Shaw and Reenie from the original cast.

“The challenge is when you got to learn about them, which I thought was interesting. That’s the challenge of the show is not having it fall into a formula.”

However, other characters being written off the show, especially after they don’t share much screentime with Hartley’s main character, isn’t unexpected, as the show’s premise largely focuses on Colter being a lone wolf personality.

While he has typically received help from people like Velma, as his handler, Bobby, as his hacker, and Reenie as his attorney, he typically heads off solo on missions–meaning the other characters can take a backseat.

Tracker Season 3 is set to air this fall on CBS.
