Fans of Bid Up TV have shared some of their bargains from the previous buying channel – and their “tatty” finds are sometimes price a lot more than they ever would have thought. Peter Simon was one of probably the most remembered presenters on the quirky TV channel as he tried to flog all varieties of items.

The channel launched in October 2000 and was identified for its format where viewers may bid on items in real-time, either by cellphone or through the web. The channel featured dwell broadcasts and pre-recorded segments, typically with public sale graphics overlaid. Posting to Reddit, one social media person shared their burst of nostalgia, as they requested: “Today I was reminded of Bid Up/Price Drop TV.
