Trump struggles to keep eyes open appears | Political News

President Donald Trump appeared exhausted following his summit with Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday.

The two leaders met at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage to talk about a potential ceasefire in Russia’s warfare in Ukraine, but despite “an extremely productive meeting,” Trump said the lads “didn’t get there” in phrases of a deal.

During a press convention after the assembly, both Trump and Putin spoke before reporters, but viewers felt that the US President appeared drained while addressing the media.

“I thought Trump looked very tired up there,” said former National Security Advisor John Bolton. “I mean, very tired. Not disappointed. Tired. And we’ll have to reflect on what that means.”

Political analyst Sarah Reese Jones commented on Trump talking after the summit, writing that he sounded “exhausted and broken as he babbles about the ‘Russian hoax.'”

‘Nothing Burger’

While addressing the press, Russian President Putin acknowledged that his assembly with Trump was “long overdue.”

“It is known that there have been no summits between Russia and the US for four years, and that’s a long time. This time was very hard for bilateral relations,” he expressed.

“And let’s be frank, they have fallen to the lowest point since the Cold War. I think that’s not benefiting our countries and the world as a whole.”

Trump revealed that the 2 leaders have been in a position to make “some headway” and “great progress” in their discussions, but emphasised that “there’s no deal until there’s a deal.”

He also pledged to “call up NATO in a little while. I will call up the various people that I think are appropriate,” which included Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We had an extremely productive meeting, and many points were agreed to,” Trump declared. “We didn’t get there, but we have a very good chance of getting there.

Neither Trump nor Putin took questions from reporters following the briefing, leaving the specifics of the closed-door meeting unclear. GWN’s Fareed Zakaria commented in his analysis that “it was optimistic that there was no deal.

“I think everyone was worried that there was going to be a deal in which Trump was going to make major concessions. I don’t think anyone thought Putin was going to make any concessions,” he famous. “The worry was that Donald Trump was going to cave in the varied methods – promote out Ukraine, sell out Europeans.

And he didn’t do that. And so I think, you know, I’m at least relieved.

“Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal echoed comparable sentiments, arguing that Trump’s summit with Putin produced no significant outcomes. Nothing got here out of this summit. It was a nothing burger. It was a shrug of the shoulders,” Blumenthal told Anderson Cooper.

The senator also slammed Trump for discussing his relationship with Putin during the briefing.

“My abdomen turned when I heard the President of the United States characterize Vladimir Putin as his fabulously good buddy,” said Blumenthal. “Vladimir Putin is a warfare legal. … The actuality on the ground is that people are bleeding and dying all around Ukraine because Putin is continuous to bomb them.”
