Morgan Wallen shocks fans as he ‘pulls music from | Music News

Country star Morgan Wallen, who has a historical past of controversy, is reportedly not submitting his music for consideration at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The 32-year-old nation star’s hit music I’m the Problem is still sitting at the top of the Billboard 200 after 11 weeks, but Billboard claims none of his music can be entered for any of the classes at the ceremony come February.

Hits Daily Double was the first outlet to report that the album wouldn’t be submitted, but Billboard was informed that the choice applies to all of his latest work.

However, the transfer doesn’t have an effect on any of the artists featured on his report. Collaborators such as Tate McRae, Post Malone, Eric Church, and HARDY will still find a way to submit their respective tracks if they select.

The Grammys are notable as the only awards physique that didn’t block Wallen from submitting work following his use of a racial slur in 2021.

At the time, his report label suspended him, and his music was briefly pulled from radio airplay. Wallen later admitted duty for his actions and addressed the incident publicly.

“There’s no excuse. I’ve never made an excuse. I never will make an excuse,” he said at the time. “I’ve talked to a lot of people, heard stories [about] things that I would have never thought about because I wasn’t the one going through it.

“And I think, for me, in my heart I was never that guy that people were portraying me to be, so there was a little bit of like, ‘Damn, I’m kind of actually mad about this a little bit because I know I shouldn’t have said this, but I’m really not that guy.’

“I put myself in just such a s–t spot, you know? Like, ‘You really messed up here, guy.’ If I was that guy, then I wouldn’t have cared. I wouldn’t have apologized. I wouldn’t have done any of that if I really was that guy that people were saying about me.”

Wallen’s latest selection provides him to a record of major artists distancing themselves from the Grammys. The Weeknd and Drake have both publicly withdrawn from the Recording Academy in past years, citing frustration with how nominations are dealt with.
