Donald Trump humiliated on Fox News as politician | UK News

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who is believed to be a potential US presidential candidate for 2028, has slammed Donald Trump‘s plan to eradicate mail-in voting. Speaking at a press convention, he told the assembled reporters he “can sign whatever the hell he wants”. The US President has vowed to get rid of voting machines and mail in ballots as he continues to make baseless claims of mass voter fraud in latest elections.

Donald Trump can sign whatever the hell executive orders he wants to sign and make a show out of whatever he wants. But he can’t change the constitution with an executive order. And the Constitution needs the authority to set our election rules to the states.” he fumed when requested if Trump’s plans would have an effect on voters in Pennsylvania. “Let me remind you that it was just about five years ago that a bipartisan majority in the House and in the Senate passed mail in voting, and during that time millions of people have voted by mail, and we have had free and fair, safe and secure elections,” he said.

Donald Trump has won some of those elections. He has lost some of those elections. Democrats have won some. Republicans have won some.

“For him to attempt and put more misinformation on the market… to stoke more division and concern amongst people who need to exercise their constitutional proper to choose the leaders in their communities and in their Commonwealth, that is just cynical and unsuitable.

Donald Trump can sign whatever executive order he wants. It will have absolutely no bearing on our elections here in Pennsylvania.

“We will once again have free and honest, secure and secure elections… People might be in a position to vote by mail, or people might be in a position to vote in individual,” he insisted.

His remarks came just days after Trump posted a lengthy tirade on Truth Social laying out his plans to change the current voting system.

On Monday (August 18) he posted: “I’m going to lead a motion to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, and also, while we’re at it, Highly ‘Inaccurate,’ Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES, which price Ten Times more than correct and refined Watermark Paper, which is quicker, and leaves NO DOUBT, at the end of the night, as to who WON, and who LOST, the Election.”

He claimed the US is the only country in the world that uses mail-in voting, insisting all other countries gave it up because of the “large voter fraud encountered”.

He said efforts to get rid of voting machines would begin with the signing of an executive order to help bring “honesty” to the 2026 midterm elections, when voters will be choosing who they want to represent them in the House of Representatives and Senate.

He also stated elections could never be honest with mail-in ballots and everybody knew this. He vowed to fight like hell to bring honesty and integrity back to US elections, adding the hoax of mail-in ballots using voting machines “must end, now”.
