Madness star Chris Foreman on worst part of incurable | Music News

Madness guitarist Chris Foreman has made a heart-wrenching confession about the “worst part” of his devastating cancer diagnosis.

On Friday, August 29, the rock star announced that he had been recognized with myeloma, a kind of blood cancer that may be managed with common treatment.

In a assertion posted on the band’s Facebook web page, Chris stays optimistic about returning to a “normal life” once he achieves remission.

The 80s celebrity disclosed that medical doctors discovered a tumor on his backbone during an MRI in June, after experiencing “unbearable” pain during a live performance in France.

Chris wrote: “Dear all, earlier this year, I had severe pain in my upper back and shoulders. On the 28th of June, we played a show in France, and it had become unbearable.”

“The band, my family, my road crew family, and my management team have all been very loving and supportive.

“I do not know how they did it without me, to be honest. I will not give you the option to do Butlins or the tour this 12 months, which is a great disgrace, but… ‘I’LL BE BACK!'”.

Chris stands as one of the founding members of the British outfit, who achieved fame through iconic tracks including Baggy Trousers and One Step Beyond.

The group originally launched in 1976 under the name North London Invaders, with Graham “Suggs” McPherson joining the subsequent year. Throughout its career, the band has experienced significant membership changes, with 15 individuals having been part of Madness at various points.

Notable members have included Dan Woodgate, Chas Smash, Mark Bedford, Paul Carrack, Terry Edwards, and Jimmy Helms.

Chris’ revelation sparked an outpouring of fan support, with one writing: “Dear Chris, take the time to get back in form. I’ve been a fan of Madness and you since 1979.”

A second supporter shared: “Wishing you effectively, Chrissy Boy. A drummer buddy of mine was also recognized with myeloma and responded rather well to its treatment.”

Meanwhile, a fourth fan said, ” I want you all the best and look ahead to seeing you back with the band soon.”
