It was a slippery scenario.

A New York lady says she was stopped by airport officers because her powdered lubricant was mistaken for a harmful or unlawful substance.

Lana Madison, 29, was allegedly interrogated alongside her boyfriend at an airport in Mexico City, saying security was perplexed by the “white powder”.

“Several of them huddled around, taking pictures and trying to figure out what it was and why we had it,” Madison declared in an interview with Jam Press. “They were completely confused.”

“They took us aside for 30 minutes,” the model additional recalled. “I thought they were overreacting and needed to calm down.”

While Madison doesn’t communicate Spanish, her boyfriend was ready to translate some issues — and was compelled to act out what the substance was used for.

“The funny part was when he actually made a fingers-in-the-air gesture to demonstrate how it can be used,” the traveler acknowledged.

Soon after, the red-faced airport officers realized that the powder wasn’t illicit, but Madison was far from embarrassed.

“It’s a concentrated powder containing polyethene polymer – the same ingredient in bubble solution and slime recipes,” the blonde said. “We mix it with water to make it slippery and use it as a lubricant.”

“It’s easier to pack, and one bottle makes about 11 litres of lube,” she explained.

“Eventually, after a lot of discussion – and realizing that we weren’t criminals – they let us keep the lube,” Madison said.

However, the bombshell has discovered her lesson, saying she’ll be sure to pack the powder in her checked baggage in the future to keep away from any undesirable interrogation.
