Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have signed to box in an exhibition bout in spring 2026.
The two signed with CSI SPORTS/FIGHT SPORTS, who will promote the but, but the date and location of the match have yet to be decided.
“When CSI came to me about stepping in the ring with Floyd Mayweather,” said Tyson via press release. “I thought, ‘No way this happens,’ but, Floyd said yes.
“This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen. However, boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable—and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets.
“I still can’t believe Floyd wants to really do this. It’s going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it’s signed and it’s happening!”
“I’ve been doing this for 30 years and there hasn’t been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy,” said Mayweather. “You already know that if I am going to do something, it’s going to be big and it’s going to be legendary. I’m the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want.”
Mayweather, 48, retired from boxing in August 2017 after defeating former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor. In retirement, “Money” has participated in eight exhibition bouts. He last fought in August 2024 against John Gotti III. The struggle went the space but was not scored due to it being an exhibition.
Tyson, 58, ended a 20-year retirement to face Jake Paul in November 2024, dropping via unanimous choice. Prior to the bout against Paul, Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match in November 2020. The struggle was scored by the WBC and ruled a draw.
