Michael Bisping reveals his UFC Perth main event | MMA News
A conflict between gentle heavyweight contenders Carlos Ulberg and Dominick Reyes headlines Saturday’s UFC event in Perth, Australia.
Ulberg (12-1) is ranked No. 3 in the division. “Black Jag” is on an eight-fight successful streak and hasn’t been dealt a defeat since 2021. He last fought in March, defeating former champion Jan Blachowicz via choice.
Reyes (15-4) enters the combat ranked No. 7. The former two-time title challenger is driving a three-fight successful streak with three consecutive knockout finishes.
Former middleweight champion and UFC analyst Michael Bisping believes if Ulberg wins he will probably be next in line to combat for a title combat. If Reyes emerges victorious, Bisping thinks he has a ‘actually good probability’ of preventing for the 205-pound belt a third time.
“The main event is a fight that has massive title fight implications in the light heavyweight division. I am of course talking about Dominick Reyes taking on Carlos Ulberg,” Bisping said on his YouTube channel. “If he (Ulberg) beats Dominick Reyes, the man’s fighting for a belt. Simple as that.”

“If Dominick Reyes, the Comeback King, can get this done then that will be sensational as well because Dominick Reyes, we all know the story. He fought Jon Jones. A lot of people thought he beat Jon Jones. Regardless, on the records books he lost,” continued Bisping.
“Then he got knocked out against Jan Blachowicz viciously, gets knocked out by Jiri Prochazka with a spinning back elbow. A vicious knockout, and then he got knocked out by Ryan Spann as well. It looked like the end of the road for Dominick Reyes, but then the man comes back with three knockouts. … Whoever wins this fight has a really good chance of fighting for the belt next.”
Michael Bisping Gives Ulberg vs. Reyes Fight Prediction
“I’ll make a prediction right now,” Bisping said. “Carlos Ulberg is a really, really good striker, very tall, very quick, very slick. Trains at City Kickboxing with Israel Adesanya, some of the best training partners in the world.
“Dominick Reyes hits tougher. Simple as that. He does hit tougher. He’s bought expertise at the very best stage. He’s bought better wrestling than Carlos Ulberg as nicely,” Bisping continued. “I believe we’ll see Dominick Reyes use the wrestling in this one.”
“I’m going to go with Carlos Ulberg. He’s bought the cleaner hanging. I do not know. It’s one of those. Honestly, you could possibly flip a coin,” Bisping said before changing his pick. “I’ll say, I’m going to say Dominick Reyes. That’s my intestine feeling. … Yeah, Dominick Reyes. There it’s. That’s the decide.”
