Another one of Dolly Parton’s sisters is talking out amid the nation singer’s health woes.
Stella Parton slammed fans for “attacking” her about the “9 to 5” singer’s current standing in a stunning social media post shared Wednesday, Oct. 8.
“To those with genuine concern for my big sister Dolly’s well being, she posted a video last week to share with her fans that she has had kidney stones and is getting treatment,” Stella, 76, started on X.

Dolly Parton’s sister Stella tweeted a stunning message to fans on Oct. 8, 2025.
“My sister Freida is always concerned when one of her siblings isn’t feeling well so she ask for prayers on Dolly’s behalf,” she continued. “It’s my job as a sister to both of them to love and respect their privacy as I expect them to do for me.”
Dolly and Stella’s sister, Freida, 68, brought about alarm when she requested fans to pray for the Queen of Country in a Facebook post Tuesday.
Although Freida later clarified that she “didn’t mean to scare anyone” or “make it sound so serious” when she requested for prayers for the “Coat of Many Colors” hitmaker, fans remained involved and apparently approached Stella for solutions concerning Dolly’s health.

“To those of you who make it your job to attack me for not being your personal information center, you need to go check their pages!” Stella charged. “Most fans are genuinely concerned but some of you are way out of line with disregard for my feelings concerning their wellbeing.”
“My big sister will share with her fans when she so chooses in the meantime don’t come at me with questions or insults,” she concluded her fiery post.
Meanwhile, Dolly took to Instagram shortly after her older sister’s X post to set the report straight on the issues surrounding her health.

“I know lately, everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am,” the multi-Grammy-winner started in a video Wednesday. “Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here!”
“I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those of you that seemed to be real concerned, which I appreciate and I appreciate your prayers ’cause I’m a person of faith,” Dolly, 79, continued.
“I can always use the prayers for anything and everything. But I want you to know that I’m okay,” she added. The clip was captioned “I ain’t dead yet!”

Concerns concerning the “Jolene” singer’s health kicked off when Dolly announced that she was suspending her Las Vegas residency dates on Sept. 28.
At the time, the nation music legend said she was “dealing with some health challenges” and “my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.”
However, Dolly told her numerous fans not to “worry about me quittin’” because “God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.”

“But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you,” she concluded the message.
The nation music icon’s health points also come in the wake of her husband Carl Dean’s death on March 3 at the age of 82.

Dolly once again acknowledged her late husband’s passing in her video on Wednesday, admitting that she “didn’t take care of myself” following his death and “let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of.”
“When I got around to it, the doctor said, ‘We need to take care of this, we need to take care of that,” she went on to clarify. “Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home.”
“I wanted you to know that I’m not dying! I’m not ready to die yet,” Dolly concluded. “I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working.”
