Todd Snider “sustained severe injuries” as a outcome of a “violent assault” and has canceled his “High, Lonesome and Then Some” tour.

The singer/songwriter was assaulted outside of his resort in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The news was shared via post to his Instagram account on Monday.

“We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 Tour dates,” the assertion read. “Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel.

“Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes. We appreciate your understanding as Todd receives needed medical treatment. We hope to have more information on new dates soon.”

No other particulars have been shared.

Days after the alleged assault, he was arrested in relation to a supposed disturbance, as reported by the Fox affiliate KSTU-TV.

He confronted prices of disorderly conduct, legal trespassing, and threatening violence.

Billboard.com reported Snider’s tour began Thursday in Englewood, Colorado. He launched his album, “High, Lonesome and Then Some,” last month.

The outlet reported that Snider is “known for solo albums that blend keen cultural observations and deeply detailed lyricism.”
