Holly Holm's next boxing match will be for | MMA News
Former UFC girls’s bantamweight champion and boxing legend Holly Holm will struggle for the WBA light-weight world boxing title on Jan. 3. “The Preacher’s Daughter” faces undefeated champion Stephanie Han in the co-main event of the Amanda Serrano vs. Erika Cruz 2 struggle card in Puerto, Rico.
The two will struggle in a 10-round bout at 135 kilos, and the struggle will be contested under equal guidelines to males with three-minute rounds. Holm might win a world title in a fourth division.
“Holly Holm is back challenging for a boxing world title, 12 years after leaving the sport and doing it with MVP,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of MVP. “She is facing a multi-faceted athlete in Stephanie Han who is a champion, a mother, and a police officer. And they are doing it with 3-minute rounds like the men. Joining them are an array of Puerto Rican standouts, including MVP’s own Yankiel Rivera, Jan Paul Rivera, and Krystal Rosado, representing the island’s next generation of greatness and demonstrating MVP’s commitment to pushing the sport forward through equality, opportunity, and world-class fights for fans around the globe, live only on DAZN.”

“I feel great,” said Holly Holm via press release. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to fight for a fourth weight division title and add to my legacy on Saturday, January 3. I’m thankful for MVP and this opportunity and look forward to fighting in Puerto Rico, an island with a deep boxing culture.”
“From El Paso to the world stage, now I get to fight Holly Holm, in Puerto Rico next to the island’s greatest boxer in Amanda Serrano,” said Stephanie Han. “Every sacrifice has led to this moment, and I’m grateful and excited for the opportunity. Equal opportunity at that, with 3-minute rounds.”
Before changing into the UFC girls’s bantamweight champion, Holly Holm was a world class boxer. She was multiple-time world champion. “The Preacher’s Daughter” returned to the ring on the Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. struggle card in June dominating Mexican standout Yolanda Vega.
