NBCs Ken Dilanian slammed for justifying | TV Shows
NBC host Ken Dilanian was torn to shreds online after trying to justify the horrific capturing that occurred this week in Washington D.C.
On Wednesday, November 26, two National Guard troopers had been left in essential condition after they had been shot close to the White House. FBI director Kash Patel has since confirmed that both National Guard troops stay in a essential condition in close by hospitals.
During live coverage of the heinous incident, Dilanian was hit with fierce backlash after he tried to justify the capturing, arguing that many Americans are on high alert and cautious of uniformed officers due to ongoing ICE raids.
The 55-year-old journalist said, “[O]f course, you know, there’s so much controversy happening in the United States right now with ice, who are also wearing uniforms and wearing masks.”
He continued, “And so there’s, you don’t know, people walking around with uniforms in an American city. There are some Americans that might object to that. And so apparently this shooting has happened.”
Another livid viewer posted, “IF THIS IS YOUR statement after what happened, your problem is worse than being fake news. I don’t know your heart, but you come across as soulless.”
While another person chimed in, “I’m devastated for their families. The weight of what they’re going through is beyond anything I can imagine, especially right before Thanksgiving. May the Lord hold them close and give them comfort.”
An hour after the capturing occurred, President Donald Trump addressed the incident on Truth Social, where he wrote, “The animal that shot the two National Guardsmen, with both being critically wounded, and now in two separate hospitals, is also severely wounded, but regardless, will pay a very steep price.”
He continued, “God bless our Great National Guard, and all of our Military and Law Enforcement. These are truly Great People. I, as President of the United States, and everyone associated with the Office of the Presidency, am with you!”
A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the capturing. Official stories haven’t yet publicly named the suspect, as authorities are still investigating the incident.
