A child star who gained fame for starring in the ’90s hit sitcom “Home Improvement” was arrested for the sixth time Saturday after his fiancé allegedly tried to run him over with their three youngsters in the car.
Zachery Ty Bryan, 44, and his fiancé Johnnie Faye Cartwright, 32, had been both cuffed by deputies with the Lane County Sheriff’s Office around midday Saturday close to a well-liked tenting space in Lowell, Oregon, according to a press release from authorities.

Bryan, Cartwright and their three small youngsters had been driving through the world in a pickup truck when, at some level, Bryan stormed out of the vehicle and began strolling down the highway, according to authorities.
Cartwright then “attempted to run over Bryan,” but missed when he dove out of the best way — and wound up driving their pickup into a ditch, the sheriff’s workplace said.

No one was injured, but deputies “observed signs” that Cartwright and Bryan had been both “impaired” when questioning them, according to the workplace.
Bryan was finally arrested for violating a court order from a prior case. He is being held without bail, though he’s set to be launched on Wednesday, according to the Lane County Jail’s inmate information.
In 2021, he pleaded guilty stemming from allegations that he tried to strangle Cartwright. He later downplayed the ordeal and said it was “blown out of proportion.”

As half of the plea, Bryan agreed not to contact Cartwright, though the couple has had three youngsters since then.
Cartwright was also arrested over the weekend spat following “additional investigation,” according to authorities.
She faces expenses for reckless driving, three counts of reckless endangerment and DUI. Two of the reckless endangerment counts have since been cleared, according to Lane County Jail’s inmate information.

The couple’s youngsters had been positioned in the care of a member of the family, authorities said.
Bryan has had quite a few run-ins with law enforcement over the last 5 years.
Beyond the strangulation allegation, he also pleaded guilty to a felony assault against an unnamed girl in October 2023.
In 2024, he was arrested twice for DUI.
And in early 2025, he was arrested during another home dispute in South Carolina where he allegedly choked and punched an unnamed girl who told police that they “live together and have children in common,” according to a police report obtained by PEOPLE.
Bryan shares 4 youngsters with his ex-wife Carly Matros. The pair separated after 13 years of marriage in 2020.
On “Home Improvement,” Bryan performed Brad Taylor, the eldest son of Tim “The Toolman” Taylor, who was performed by star Tim Allen.
Bryan didn’t seem in the show’s reunion in late September.
