Sara Haines hard to stomach as View host slammed | TV Shows

During the latest episode of The View, co-host Sara Haines confronted extreme backlash after seemingly defending President Donald Trump’s latest transfer during his “maximum pressure” marketing campaign against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s authorities.

The president confirmed on Wednesday, December 11, that the United States has seized a large oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela. The president boasted about the scale of the tanker, telling the press it is likely to be the ‘largest ever seized.’

While discussing the latest news for the daily Hot Topics section on the show, most of the panelists criticized the president for his latest transfer. Meanwhile, Sara Haines claimed that the seizure was ‘really a good factor.’

“This move, specifically on this tanker, might be a good thing,” she said. “This is supposedly about sanctioned oil and it is diverting oil that could be going to China, Russia, and Iran.”

She continued in saying that this was a ‘legal seizure of the tanker’ and will ‘disincentivize black market ships from stopping in Venezuela and taking this oil to enemy nations.’ “This might actually be a good thing, sadly wrapped in a Trump packaging,” she told her co-hosts.

Haines is often at the middle of backlash from The View followers, often because of her reasonable takes that often contact on conservative-leaning opinions.

During the tense 2024 election cycle, many followers even accused her of voting for Donald Trump over Former Vice President Kamala Harris, despite her vocal endorsement of Harris.

Despite today’s feedback, Haines is usually open about her disapproval of Trump and his voters.
