His post read, “If Iran shots and violently kills peaceful protestors, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J.TRUMP.”

Trump voters commented on Fox News’s tweet about the news, criticizing the 79-year-old businessman’s response. The normal consensus appeared to be that Trump will not be prioritizing the issues in America, which must be his main concern.

The demonstrations started with a single protest by shopkeepers in Tehran’s Grand Bazaar on Sunday, December 28, about the nation’s collapsing economic system. It soon unfold to 17 of Iran’s provinces, with college students and other members of Iranian society becoming a member of.

This comes as there have been clashes between protesters and security forces, that are reportedly sparked by financial troubles. At least seven people have been killed, and 44 people have been arrested in these protests, per Al Jazeera.
