As the Russia-Ukraine warfare continues into its fourth 12 months, almost 30% of Ukrainians consider that the warfare will continue into 2027. 

A latest survey carried out by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) discovered that 29% of Ukrainians consider the warfare will end in 2027, while 33% of respondents answered “I don’t know” when requested about when the warfare would end.

A mere 10% of respondents had anticipated the warfare to end before the start of 2026, an 8-point drop from the 18% listed in a September survey.

Overall, only around a quarter of Ukrainians count on the warfare to end in the comparatively close to future.

Only 16% consider that the warfare will end by the first half of 2026, raising 1 share level from September. Another 12% consider the warfare might end in the second half of 2026.
