Britney Spears took to social media to share a heartbreaking confession that may disappoint many American followers. The pop legend, 44, revealed that she will “never perform in the U.S. again” in an Instagram post shared on Thursday, January 8.

“Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life,” Spears wrote in the caption of the post, including, “I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extraordinarily delicate causes.”

She continued the post by sharing that she “hopes to be sitting on a stool with a pink rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son…in the U.Okay. and AUSTRALIA very soon.”

Spears has two youngsters with her ex-husband Kevin Federline: Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19. Though she didn’t element which son she was referring to in the post, the singer has beforehand described Jayden as a “genius” in a March 2025 Instagram post that confirmed him taking part in the piano.

“I’m in awe of him,” she had captioned the post. “I can’t believe he’s mine!!! I was honestly scared that’s not normal!!!”

She signed off her latest post this Thursday by praising her son again. “He’s a huge star, and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!” she wrote.

The mother of two celebrated Christmas last 12 months with Jayden.

“Merry late Christmas to my beautiful family who have never disrespected me, harmed me, ever done anything completely unacceptable or caused unbelievable trauma, the kind you can’t fix,” she captioned a vacation post on Instagram.

An insider told People magazine about the artist’s vacation celebrations with Jayden, with whom she’s been rebuilding her relationship, alongside his older brother, Sean, 20. “Britney had a fun time celebrating Christmas with Jayden,” the insider revealed to the publication. “It’s been such a special holiday.”

Sean reportedly remained in Louisiana due to work commitments, celebrating the holidays with his aunt, Spears’ sister Jamie-Lynn, 34, and her household, as nicely as his grandmother, GWN reported.
