Tess Daly has fled the UK just weeks after her shock exit from Strictly Come Dancing, jetting off overseas as she adjusts to life after the BBC show — and a major shake-up at home. The presenter, who bowed out of the ballroom in December after more than 20 years, revealed she had already left the nation, sharing snaps from a winter getaway as followers speculated over what comes next for the long-running TV favorite. Posting on Instagram, Tess wrote: “Hitting the slopes for the first time since I was 17 made for an eventful trip last week”.

The images confirmed her having fun with time in the snow alongside her husband Vernon Kay, prompting an outpouring of reward from followers. One fan commented: “Best dressed couple on the slopes!!” Another gushed: “How perfect do you guys look together!!! Looks beautiful.” A 3rd added: “Great pics, the best showbiz couple – totally grounded – sincere – funny and gorgeous xx”. But while Tess was having fun with time overseas, it seems the largest change has been occurring back home.

The TV star and Vernon are also adjusting to a large household milestone after their eldest daughter moved continents.

Their 21-year-old daughter Phoebe Kay shared a picture from a bar in New York City on January 8, with the Empire State Building seen in the background. She captioned the snap: “Home for a while…”

Phoebe also up to date her Instagram bio to read: “Heyyyy LDN/NYC”, fuelling hypothesis she has relocated to the Big Apple for a vital period of time.

“She has not revealed the reason for the move or how long she plans to stay, but the timing suggests it is recent, as she was still in the UK for the end of her mother’s Strictly run.

Tess first began hosting the BBC dance competitors in 2004 and confirmed last 12 months that she can be stepping away.

In September, she and co-host Claudia Winkleman announced their joint determination to go away after more than 20 years fronting the show.

In a video shared on Instagram, the pair said: “We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream. We were always going to leave together, and now feels like the right time.

After the final live show, Phoebe paid an emotional tribute to her mum online. She wrote: “Wow. What an incredible Strictly Come Dancing final last night.

“The love and joy strictly creates is something magical and I’m so lucky to have seen my mum work with the absolute best people. Last night was definitely an emotional one, but most importantly it was a celebration of the show and the 21 years mum has been doing it.”

She added: “Mum you are a true inspiration to me I will hold all these Strictly memories close to my heart forever.

“It’s been in my life since the day mum was pregnant with me so I don’t know life without Strictly and for that reason I will forever be the shows number one fan.”
