UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev captured the 185-pound championship at UFC 319 last August, totally decimating former titleholder Dricus Du Plessis.

Chimaev then appealed to Brazilian followers to urger Pereira to settle for the matchup. “All Brazilian fans tell this boy if you’re not scared tell him to fight,” Chimaev wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Pereira received back the 205-pound championship at UFC 320 in October and turned a two-time gentle heavyweight titleholder defeating Magomed Ankalaev in a rematch.
Monday wasn’t the first time Chimaev has focused Pereira. In December he posted a meme to social media accusing Pereira of avoiding him.

The UFC event at the White House is scheduled for June 14 in Washington D.C. The octagon will probably be set up in the South Lawn and the fighters will make their walks to the octagon from the Oval Office. UFC CEO Dana White lately shared particulars of the historic event.
