Fans react as much-loved NBC chat show set to end | TV Shows


Fans have reacted online after it was announced that NBC might be cutting one of its much-loved discuss exhibits. 

It’s been reported that, at the end of this season, The Kelly Clarkson Show is not going to be renewed, as the current daytime show format is believed to be “not sustainable anymore.”

Kelly, 43, has hosted the Emmy Award-winning discuss show since 2019, and moved from Universal Studios in Los Angeles to 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City two seasons in the past.

The show famously options a “Kellyoke” section at the start of each episode where Kelly and her band, My Band Y’All, carry out a cowl of a tune often requested by the viewers.

More just lately, the star has included “Cameo-oke,” that includes musical company performing at the show’s opening, and “Kellyoke Classic,” where she performs her own unreleased tracks.

According to Page Six, a number of insiders have claimed that her show might be ending after this season, with one describing Kelly’s exit as “definite” while another said it’s “likely that [the show] will not go on.”

“[Her show] is a lot to put on, and trying at the panorama across daytime tv, it isn’t sustainable anymore,” the source additional added.

Rumors last 12 months said Hoda Kotb, a former “Today” anchor, would replace Kelly, with it reported that the Because of You singer wanted to leave daytime TV.

However, a third insider explained that no decision has yet been made, with them saying, “People are leaping the gun. Nothing is particular yet, and it is still a long season.”

Following the report, the show’s fans took to social media to discuss the potential cancellation, with one Reddit user penning, “The show was fulfilling just to watch Kelly Clarkson do karaoke.”

“Yeah, beloved seeing her just tear up a tune, and she had a genuinely enjoyable vitality. I really feel like celebs have been truly having fun with themselves on her show. Those music performances at the very least will stand the check of time,” added a second fan, while a third penned, “I did not watch the discuss show, mainly just listened to the Kellyoke songs. I’ll undoubtedly miss that.”

However, many people agreed that daytime TV needs to be revamped, with some social media users saying the current format no longer works.

“The format of ‘celeb coming on to promote their next factor via scripted recreation’ just merely doesn’t play with even millennials. This is an early domino to fall in conventional daytime TV’s downfall,” one Reddit user commented.

“Podcasts have mainly made this format really feel pretend and irrelevant,” remarked another user, while a third chimed in to say, “Who even watches daytime TV? Don’t we all work 3 jobs just to pay our payments?”
