Buc-ee’s, an outsized journey heart that’s constructed a cult following, is planning to open the world’s largest comfort store next 12 months.
The company plans to construct a location spanning 76,245 sq. toes in Fort Pierce, Florida, according to Sebastian Daily. The company filed revised web site plans and a building allow with St. Lucie County in November, following state approval in April, according to the outlet. But last approval for the project is still pending.
FOX Business reached out to Buc-ee’s for remark.
If authorized, the huge comfort store will sit at Interstate 95 and Indrio Road, northwest of Fort Pierce and southwest of Vero Beach, and will characteristic 120 fuel pumps and 18 electric vehicle charging stations, the outlet reported.
There will also be more than 700 parking areas, according to the outlet.
The new location will likely be larger than its Luling, Texas, store, which already occupies 75,593 sq. toes of retail space.
That journey heart, which formally opened in June 2024, has been its largest to date. Prior to its opening, that title belonged to a 74,000-square-foot Buc-ee’s in Tennessee.

Buc-ee’s, based in Texas in the Eighties, has long stood out among rivals due to the sheer measurement of its amenities.
For instance, 7-Eleven places sometimes span just 2,500 to 3,000 sq. toes, while Wawa and Sheetz shops typically vary between 5,000 and 6,500 sq. toes, according to experiences.
While Buc-ee’s large comfort shops and journey facilities are a Texas staple, the company has been targeted on growing its presence exterior the state.
The huge store in Fort Pierce will mark the company’s fourth location in Florida.
It already has shops in St. Augustine, Daytona Beach and Ocala, according to the Sebastian Daily.
