O.C. star Mischa Barton had a short look on Dancing With the Stars during the show’s twenty second season in 2016–but proved to be one of the show’s most controversial stars after she slammed her expertise following her time in the competitors.

Barton wasn’t the only celeb to make claims about a less-than-stellar expertise on the show, with two Season 34 celebrities in explicit taking intention at what they felt ruined their runs.

After he was one of the first celebs voted off, actor and singer Corey Feldman slammed the show’s “toxic” setting after experiences he had given his professional companion, Jenna Johnson, a tough time.

“There was a lot of stupidity in the mudslinging that went on behind the scenes. Actually, everything was great. But the behind-the-scenes drama and BS that people throw around that show, I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s the worst, like, most toxic,” he said at the time.

“On the set, everybody gets along. Everybody’s great. Everybody’s happy. You’re working hard. You don’t even have time to look up. You’re just working,” he added.

Hilaria Baldwin also hit out at the show after her own elimination, leaning in to claims that the show was a reputation contest run by “mean girls.”

In addition to commenting in a post-elimination interview, saying that “mean girls” online had been having campaigns to increase others with votes and “drown out” her fan base.

She also addressed it online in a collection of Instagram videos.

“I would be remiss if I didn’t address the elephant in the room, which is that there was some bullying going on aimed at me over the past few weeks,” she said.

“Very coordinated, strategic bullying,” she added. “And as I feel the darkness that that undoubtedly brings to me, I always want to remember that my life belongs to the whole community and I want to leave a lasting mark of courage to speak up against what is simply wrong.”
