Jesse Watters slams Alex Pretti claiming he | TV Shows

Fox News host Jesse Watters inaccurately claimed that Alex Pretti, a Minneapolis protestor who was shot and killed by ICE brokers on Saturday, January 24, “violently” obstructed federal brokers before his tragic demise.

During Monday’s episode of The Five, which aired on January 26, Jesse, 47, started the Fox News program by talking about the now-deceased VA nurse.

“The guy who brings a loaded firearm, concealed, into a dangerous fugitive operation is crazy,” the television host said after Alex’s death, who Republicans are demanding to be investigated. “You do not bring a loaded gun and start violently and physically resisting and obstructing a manhunt, okay?”

Footage of Alex’s deadly interplay with ICE confirmed him directing visitors and holding a telephone up to movie the Border Patrol brokers in the realm before an officer pushed a lady to the ground.

After the girl was shoved, Alex tried to help her, but then he ended up being jumped on by a number of officers. In addition to being wrestled down, he was also pepper-sprayed and had a handgun that he was licensed to carry eliminated from his waistband.

Once that occurred, footage captured Alex being shot 10 instances. While on The Five, Jesse insisted, despite the injustice being caught on digicam, that Alex was in some way in the improper.

“Anybody who knows — you have a concealed permit, and some guy is confronting you is federal enforcement, you say, “Here are my hands. I have a loaded weapon on me,” and you wait for additional instruction. You don’t actively, bodily resist,” Jesse acknowledged.

The conservative discuss show host went on to assess the video, additional questioning if Alex reacted respectfully toward ICE authorities.

“Now, you watch the video, and it’s very, very chaotic. It may have looked like they might have disarmed this guy during the scuffle. You have whistles blowing. You can’t hear anything,” Jesse pinpointed.

He continued, “You hear, “Gun, gun, gun, gun, gun!” The guy — any time a guy says, “Gun, gun, gun,” and the subject pulls his arm back, you don’t know if he’s reaching, so obviously they will be doing a big investigation. They will find out what happened and we’ll look at the body cam. But it’s not a clear-cut situation, and it’s very divisive. It’s partisan, the way they’re reacting to it.”

Proud liberal, The Five co-host Jessica Tarlov countered Jesse on-air, offering a more researched opinion on Alex’s homicide.

“What happened to Pretti was not divisive and was not partisan,” Jessica told Jesse. “It was clear as day, and there are video analyses — The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal have done incredible reporting on this — that you can see clearly that an agent had taken his gun already…”

She continued, “Even after the guy is shot, gets 10 bullets in him, even though his hands were up, he had his phone in one hand, which you’re allowed to do, to video, and you have another guy going, ‘Where is the gun?’ Shouldn’t you know that before you kill somebody?”
