Scream legend Neve Campbell revealed she once went on a ‘date’ with Prince Harry before he tied the knot to Meghan Markle. On Saturday (February 14), Jonathan Ross returned to the helm of his late-night time speak show, where he welcomed the Hollywood actress, comic Alan Carr, and the husband-and-wife duo Rob and Lou Beckett onto his notorious orange couch. To rejoice the romantic vacation, the TV presenter quizzed his friends about their best and worst first dates, which actually raised a few eyebrows.Â
When he turned his consideration to Campbell, she revealed: “I’m not sure it was a date, but I went to a friend’s birthday party, and someone said, ‘There’s Harry!’ and I was like, ‘Who’s Harry?’ and they said, ‘Prince Harry!’. I think I was wearing a race car driver unitard because it was a fancy-dress party.

“But we did have a chat, and he told me he had a poster of me on his wall when he was a baby, which I believed was a little awkward. It wasn’t the best line, though. We had a dance, we had a good time, we did not exchange numbers or something.”
But things took an unexpected turn when she was invited to a charity dinner with her then-partner. She went on: “I received called to go to a charity factor of his, and I introduced my accomplice, JJ, at the time, and I used to be told which desk I used to be going to be at, and I believed it was just a random invite.
“But they sat JJ at the other end of the table, and they sat me next to Harry. He was really lovely, but then he started talking about his grandmother, and we were chatting away, and then I realised who he was talking about, and he was dropping his Nan’s name. It was a bit of a mood killer.”
Neve is not the only well-known face the Prince dated before saying ‘I do’ to the Suits star. Back in 2003, the younger royal was rumoured to have dated TV presenter Natalie Pinkman, but the 2 never publicly confirmed a romantic relationship.

He was also famously linked to former X Factor host Caroline Flack in June 2009, The Saturdays singer Molly King in 2012, and musician Ellie Goulding in spring 2016. But when their romance fizzled out, Harry met Meghan through a mutual buddy and tied the knot two years later.
