Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano booked for May on | MMA News

Two legends of the game will collide on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. In a gorgeous announcement on Tuesday, Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix announced that former UFC girls’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will return to the cage to take on fellow pioneer Gina Carano.

Rousey, 39, last fought in December 2016, shedding to Amanda Nunes via TKO at UFC 207. Carano, 43, hasn’t fought since August 2009, shedding to Cris Cyborg by TKO.

“Been waiting so long to announce this: Me and @ginacarano are gonna throw down in the biggest super fight in women’s combat sport history! And we’re partnering with the fighter-first promotion @MostVpromotions as well as the baddest streamer on the planet @netflix! This is for all MMA fans past, present and future. More to come… much more,” Rousey said in a assertion.

“So blessed. Looking forward to making this walk AGAIN,” Carano wrote on X.
