Tom Llamas reveals American Idol contestant facing | TV Shows

Tom Llamas has shared the news of an American Idol alum who has been charged with homicide.

On the Monday, February 23 episode of NBC Nightly News, the host broke surprising news about Caleb Flynn, a former contestant who appeared on the fact competitors in 2013. Over the weekend, the 39-year-old man was arrested for allegedly murdering his spouse, Ashley, at their home in Tipp City, Ohio.

Tom shared that Caleb has now been charged with homicide, two counts of felonious assault, and two counts of tampering with evidence. He also shared the “chilling” 911 call the previous contestant made on February 16, the night time of the incident. 

The virtually eight-minute call started with Caleb crying, pleading, “Somebody broke into my home and killed my wife. Please, please hurry.

“She’s acquired three pictures to her and blood in all places,” he mentioned. “Her face is white. I do not assume she’s respiratory.”

The caller told the dispatcher he was with their two daughters when the taking pictures occurred, but he was making the call from their bed room, where he discovered Ashley useless.

Tom said, “Ashley, baby, baby, please. Oh my God!”

Three days later, the previous contestant was taken into custody and charged with homicide. He has since gone before a choose and pleaded not guilty to all prices and is being held on a $2 million bond. 

While talking to Judge Samuel Huffman, he said, “I just want to take care of my daughters. I’m not a risk.”

The anchor noted the news comes as a “dramatic turn,” especially considering his praise of his wife on Season 12 of American Idol.

In a 2013 video posted to the show’s YouTube channel, he said, “The factor that makes me distinctive … I completely love the Lord. I like my spouse more than something. She could be very, very, very fairly. I’m just a regular particular person who completely loves to sing more than something in the world.”

Ashley’s household has spoken out about her death. In a assertion, they shared, “Our hearts are shattered.”

“Ashley introduced countless mild to our world, and we try to navigate this immense loss,” they continued.

Her household trusts the authorities and their choice to arrest Caleb.

“Our household believes this arrest was made rigorously and not without severe consideration,” they said. “After talking with both local police and federal authorities, we trust the correct steps have been taken, and the method is being dealt with appropriately.”

Lastly, they asked for privacy as they work through “this complicated scenario.”
