Hillary Clinton stormed out of a listening to with the House Oversight Committee about Jeffrey Epstein after a bombshell leaked picture.
The former First Lady turned irate after a picture of her testifying was leaked online despite the listening to being closed to the press. “I’m done with this, if you guys are doing that,” Clinton said, saying the lawmakers might maintain her in contempt “from now until the cows come home. This is just typical behavior.”
A lawmaker then admitted to sharing a picture from inside the room, but said it was before the listening to started. “Oh, for heaven’s sake!” said Clinton, slamming her fist to the desk. The former Secretary of State said it did not matter that the picture was shared before the listening to.
“We all were abiding by the same rules,” she said, slamming her fist once again. An aide sitting next to Clinton called for a break, which she agreed to, saying “I’m done,” before leaving.
It was later revealed that Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert shared the picture, which was later leaked online by MAGA influencer Benny Johnson. “The first image of Hillary Clinton testifying under oath about Jeffrey Epstein to the Republican Oversight Committee,” Johnson wrote on X. “This is the first time Hillary has had to answer real questions about Epstein. Clinton does not look happy.”

After the incident, Clinton’s adviser, Nick Merril, said that the listening to went off the report “while they figure out where the photo came from and why possibly members of Congress are violating House rules.”
Clinton’s anger also got here from the fact that she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, requested a public listening to, only to have House Oversight Committee chairman Rep. James Comer request a closed-door assembly.
Boebert defended Johnson’s resolution to share the picture online, but she didn’t verify that she was the one who despatched it to him. “Benny did nothing wrong,” she wrote on X. “Proceeding with deposition.”

Despite her feedback, Johnson claimed Boebert gave him permission to post the picture “with credit” and accused Clinton’s workforce of attempting to “weasel out of answering questions.”
California Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the committee, said sharing the picture with Johnson was “unacceptable.”
“Republicans [are] breaking their own committee rules that they established with the secretary and her team,” he told reporters last week. “It was gracious of the secretary and her team to continue the deposition.”
The Clintons haven’t been accused of any crimes in connection with Epstein and have denied any wrongdoing.

During the deposition, later launched by the Oversight Committee for public viewing, Clinton said U.S. authorities need to “get to the bottom” of allegations about President Donald Trump and referred to claims about the U.S. Department of Justice withholding paperwork relating to Trump being concerned in “heinous crimes.”
“A committee run by elected officials with a commitment to transparency would ensure the full release of all the files. It would ensure that the lawful redactions of those files protected the victims and survivors, not powerful men and political allies,” said Clinton.
“It would get to the bottom of reports that DOJ withheld FBI interviews in which a survivor accuses President Trump of heinous crimes.”
She also called for Trump to be questioned under oath, saying, “If this Committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein’s trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement; it would ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he shows up in the Epstein files.”
Trump has always denied any wrongdoing relating to the Epstein case, has not been accused of any crimes by law enforcement, and has never been recognized as the subject of any investigation.
