A BBC synopsis reads: “In the early hours of Saturday morning, a woman calls 999 – she’s been attacked and raped by a stranger in a public phone box in Birmingham.

“Police and forensic groups race to determine the attacker before he can strike again. While the sufferer is taken to hospital, a detailed examination of the telephone box for evidence proves difficult, as it is contaminated with the fingerprints of so many members of the public. While detectives explore CCTV footage and a cluster of fingerprints, it is DNA evidence that might show essential.”

The episode will also be accessible for streaming on BBC iPlayer shortly following transmission. Audiences will need to wait a further week until the third instalment broadcasts, scheduled for release on BBC Two on Sunday, March 15.
