Carrie Ann Inaba is on the mend after a scary health scenario left her frightened on a flight to New York, and followers can relaxation assured she’s going to still be a half of Dancing with the Stars after its anticipated return to ABC in the autumn for a landmark thirty fifth season.

“Yesterday was quite a day. I was on my way to NY for something I am very passionate about, But had a small ‘medical emergency’ on the plane,” she wrote.

Describing how she shortly began to really feel ailing with what felt like food poisoning, she also began experiencing a cold sweat, dizziness and felt her arms go numb, which scared her, because while she suffers from Sjogren’s disease, which is an autoimmune disorder, and is often ready because of it, this time felt different.

She then shared that she was also unable to obtain quick help, as the flight had skilled turbulence and the flight attendants have been required to stay seated, before persevering with in the feedback to thank the many people who assisted her.

“Thank you to the flight attendant who answered when I pushed the call button while locked in the bathroom…while the plane was experiencing some turbulence and she was supposed to be sitting down herself,” she wrote. “She immediately knew I was in trouble and needed medical attention.”

She also thanked two others on board who answered the call for a “doctor on board,” as nicely as other varied passengers and medical employees she encountered at the hospital.

She also shared more particulars in a assertion to USA Today, describing the emergency and sharing that she was on the highway to recovery.

“I was dizzy, nauseous, very warm and my arms started feeling numb,” she said. “I received some assistance on the plane from the flight crew and a doctor onboard, which I am very thankful for, and went to the hospital upon landing, as well as received fluids.

She also shared that she was able to eventually leave for her hotel to continue her recovery and for administered IV fluids, and also shared that the incident was not connected to her Sjogren’s disease.

“I’m resting up and looking forward to getting back into my advocacy work soon,” she added. “I’m so grateful to the people who took care of me and helped me through such a scary experience.”

Her update, suggesting she deliberate to get back to work soon, suggests followers don’t need to fear about her probably lacking out on a new season of DWTS, or even the show’s first-ever conference at the end of July.

However, her health has saved her away from the show in the past–as she was pressured to miss the Season 34 premiere in 2025, the first time she ever missed an episode since the show’s first season in 2005.

At the time, it was shared that she had been recovering from an unspecified sickness and was recovering. She was not changed on the first night time, leaving only Derelk Hough and Bruno Tonioli to rating the celebrities. She was back for the show’s second week of competitors.
