A Pakistan-based fashion label, Wajayesha Official, has come under online scrutiny after sharing AI-edited images of Alia Bhatt to promote its latest assortment, prompting questions from social media customers about whether or not the actor had authorised the marketing campaign.
The label posted a set of images that appeared to show Alia Bhatt carrying outfits from its Pure Sheesha Silk assortment. The caption steered that the actor admired the designs and inspired prospects to place orders. The brand wrote, “EVEN ALIA BHATT LIKE OUR PURE SHEESHA SILK COLLECTION !!”
Soon after the post went live, a number of customers identified inconsistencies in the visuals. While the images initially appeared convincing, many viewers seen that they weren’t unique marketing campaign pictures. Instead, they appeared to be AI-generated edits in which the actor’s face and higher physique have been digitally positioned onto the brand’s outfits.
