Kash Patel faces backlash over sneering tirade | TV Shows

FBI Director Kash Patel engaged in a tense confrontation with a journalist, an incident that did not sit nicely with his conservative supporters.

On April 21, Fox News posted footage from Patel’s press briefing on its social media. A journalist referenced The Atlantic’s investigative report, mentioning an event when Patel, 46, allegedly locked himself out of the bureau’s inner pc community following a technical glitch. The report, printed on April 19, alleged that the FBI director grew to become alarmed by the error, believing he had been terminated.

The report instructed that he contacted his employees to inform them of his obvious dismissal, which they characterised as a “freak-out.” When this episode was raised, Patel responded, “You are lying.” This comes after the FBI director filed a $250 million lawsuit against The Atlantic.

This development coincides with the FBI Director submitting legal motion against The Atlantic, which made allegations about his purported extreme alcohol consumption.

Patel shouted, “Let’s have a survey. How many of you people believe that’s true? Hang on, you asked a question. Let me answer it!”

The journalist interjected, “Did you communicate with anyone that you thought you were fired, after you were unable to log in?”

Patel interrupted him, “The problem with you and your report. Don’t cut me off! You asked a question. The problem with you and your baseless question, your reporting is an absolute lie.”

“It was never said,” he claimed. “It never happened. And I will serve in this administration as long as the president and attorney general want me to do so! And every time you guys report false lies, every time you guys raise baseless questions when we are here to talk about the Souther poverty law centers that fraudulently fleece Americans, you are off-topic.”

He shouted, “The simple answer to your question is: You are lying! I’ve answered your question. It’s simply as follows. I was never locked out of my systems. Anybody that says the opposite is lying.”

Conservative voices expressed displeasure at Patel’s outburst, arguing the Trump administration would bear the brunt of the embarrassment.

One commentator remarked, “Is it obvious to anyone else that for the rest of his tenure Kash will be an embarrassment and a distraction to Trump. Keeping him on is a gift to democrats?”

Another chimed in, “Trump has thrown MAGA in the s—. Lowest confidence ever! What did you ever see in him?”

A 3rd observer famous, “This clown in the Trump administration can’t help but top the previous day’s embarrassing headline with more childish antics – it’s like they’re addicted to looking like morons!”

Not everybody was vital, however, with one supporter coming to Patel’s protection, stating, “The reporter was rude and would not stop talking for him to answer. That’s what caused the problem. I saw the whole thing!”
