Uncertainty surrounding LIV Golf’s future continues to grow, with the destiny of Bryson DeChambeau remaining a major matter of hypothesis.

With DeChambeau’s contract set to expire, experiences emerged that he held talks concerning his future at the Masters. He has beforehand acknowledged he’s “very serious” about probably making a dramatic profession shift.

Weighing in on the prospect of DeChambeau focusing solely on majors and his thriving YouTube profession, Kim wrote on X: “I just have a hard time believing this. You can’t replace real competition reps.

“Breaking 50 with LeBron [James] is not the same as going against Scottie [Scheffler] at Hilton Head. Nice negotiation tactic but profitable majors is his main objective and taking part in on the PGA Tour is the best approach to prepare.”

PIF released a 2026–2030 strategic vision but seemed to exclude LIV Golf, while Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan indicated a reassessment of investments due to economic viability and regional conflicts. However, LIV Golf CEO O’Neil stood by his league and maintained it was still pursuing a “full throttle” approach.

Fractures in the foundation of LIV Golf began to emerge in January at the start of the 2026 season. Both Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed returned to the PGA Tour following the expiration of their contracts, and other names could follow – particularly with the future of LIV Golf uncertain.

“So we’re considering about it. We’ll react when we have now an alternative to react, but proper now, we’re targeted on making the PGA Tour better. But pay attention, I’ve said it publicly, and I’ll say it again, I’m in whatever makes the PGA Tour better. That’s what my job is, that’s what I’m in doing, and that has no restrict, so that’s how I’ll focus on it.”
