GB News descended into chaos as presenter Cristo Foufas was joined by Reform UK‘s Laila Cunningham and political commentator Jonathan Lis to talk about the lead-up to the surprising White House taking pictures. This comes after President Donald Trump and Melania had been evacuated from their annual black-tie correspondents’ dinner when a gunman opened fire, prompting other friends, including US officers, to search cowl under tables. The debate reached a boiling level as the friends clashed over the political rhetoric, which has resulted in a number of assassination makes an attempt.

As Laila tried to reply the query, Jonathan referenced Trump’s controversial risk to Iran and interjected: “He literally tried to overthrow a government,” which prompted Cristo to say: “Let her finish.”

After some back and forth, the commentator acknowledged: “I disagree with you, and it’s interesting when someone from the right who is seeking to police language,” to which Laila interrupted: “I didn’t say police language.”

“But that’s the idea of you saying ‘fascist, that’s kind of incitement,’ he retorted. Refusing the claim, the politician fumed: “Hang on, I never said to police it, I said there are penalties to it,” as she warned: “Don’t put phrases into my mouth.”

When Cristo suggested that accusations of fascism come from “the politicians on the left a bit more,” Jonathan responded: “I might merely refer you to all the occasions that Donald Trump has this extremely personal language. He’s the most insulting particular person, you might be his largest fan … the second they disagree with his insurance policies, immediately they’re ‘low IQ and nugatory’.”

Attempting to ease the tension, Cristo interjected: “Alright, alright, alright.”

In a brutal blow, Jonathan added: “With the best respect, this sounds a bit snowflakey to me, if somebody is behaving like a fascist, its incumbant upon you to determine that.

After the Reform MP questioned: “How is he behaving like a fascist?” The friends shared a more heated exchange about Trump’s latest controversial choices.

Tensions nearly boiled over as the GB News host was once again pressured to halt the controversy by bodily raising his arm between Laila and Jonathan and shouting: “Stop both of you!”
