Nedra Talley-Ross, a founding member of the trailblazing Nineteen Sixties lady group The Ronettes, has handed away at the age of 80.
Her death was announced by the group on Sunday via Facebook, although no official trigger was revealed.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Nedra Talley Ross’ passing,” the announcement acknowledged. “She was a light to those who knew and loved her.”
Talley-Ross established The Ronettes with her cousins, Ronnie Spector and Estelle Bennett. The trio emerged as one of the most impactful teams of the Nineteen Sixties, enjoying a pivotal function in shaping modern pop music.
Their signature observe Be My Baby stays their most celebrated work. This news comes after Storage Wars’ Darrell Sheets took his own life earlier this week.

Talley-Ross was the ultimate residing authentic member of the ensemble.
“Nedra’s voice, style, and spirit helped define a sound that would change music,” the announcement continued. “Her contribution to the group’s story and their defining influence will live forever. Rest peacefully, dear Nedra. Thanks for the magic.”
Spector, regarded as one of rock’s most distinctive vocalists, died in January 2022. Bennett’s death occurred in 2021, leaving Talley-Ross as the only surviving founding member.

In 2007, The Ronettes acquired induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
On X, admirers expressed their sorrow over the 80-year-old’s passing.
“Shame man, but at least she reached 80, not many have the luxury of seeing the big 80,” one individual wrote.
