DWTS producers tease season 35 casting update | TV Shows

Dancing with the Stars is shifting full steam forward with the upcoming thirty fifth season, and the show’s producers are opening up about their plans when it comes to the forged they’re courting for the latest episodes.

ABC has formally renewed the competitors collection for a new season that is slated to air this fall, and has already announced its first forged members, revealing at the Hulu Get Real event in Los Angeles on April 22 that Traitors alums Maura Higgins and Ciara Miller have been signed on.

Coming off Season 34, which noticed a ultimate that earned the show its highest scores in a decade, the show is hoping to capitalize on its newfound recognition once again.

As such, they’re planning to work on “every part” of the upcoming season to maximize its potential.

“We’re deep into it,” Deena Katz told the Hollywood Reporter. “We’re already deep into casting, we’re talking themes–we’re talking everything.”

She also gave more insight into the announcement of both Higgins and Miller, admitting that the Love Island UK alum had “manifested” her look on the show after exhibiting immense curiosity, while Miller was a excellent instance of the show hanging while the viral iron was scorching.

“It was a really of-the-moment thing that we all felt like it was the right time,” Katz said. “We really wanted her on the show, but it was also the right time to announce her.”

Miller, who is also from the Bravo collection Summer House, discovered herself caught in a viral scandal in March after her good friend Amanda Batula confirmed her romance with Miller’s ex, West Wilson.

Her casting follows a comparable arc to Ariana Madix’s viral casting during the show’s thirty second season, when she positioned third.

Prior to her casting, Madix broke up with longtime boyfriend and Vanderpump Rules co-star Tom Sandoval after almost a decade of relationship, following the revelation that he had cheated on her with co-star Racquel Leviss.

This season will also characteristic another new face in the ballroom outdoors of the celebrities–in the shape of a new professional who will be part of the roster following this summer time’s spin-off collection, The Next Pro. The show, hosted by Season 34 champ Robert Irwin, will give its winner a function as a new professional.

As for the remaining of the professional forged, none have yet been confirmed, though a number of are at the moment wrapping up the show’s live tour and making ready to seem at the first-ever DWTS Con in Palm Springs, California later this summer time.
