Fox News host turns on Melania Trump as he makes | TV Shows
Brian Kilmeade doesn’t assume Melania Trump “checked in” with the president before her latest outburst.
On Tuesday, April 28, an episode of Fox News’ The Five, Brian Kilmeade, 61, shared his take on the Jimmy Kimmel and Melania Trump fiasco, which noticed the First Lady come out of her common stoic character to blast him on X.
With the First Lady and President Donald Trump demanding the late-night host be “immediately fired,” Brian shared the explanation why the ordeal has “got everyone’s attention.” He identified, “Melania Trump doesn’t complain about anything. It’s very hard,” before explaining that when somebody like that says one thing, “it takes notice.”
After giving his protection for the First Lady, which included, “she doesn’t watch him,” he talked about, “I don’t think she checked with the president personally.”
On the Thursday, April 23 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host made a joke about the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He did a parody monologue about what he would have said if he had been internet hosting the event.
Within the skit, he said, “Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.”
Once the monologue was aired and the first woman received wind of it, she took to X, offended by his feedback.
She wrote, “Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepen the political sickness within America.
“People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate,” she continued. “A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.”
She concluded, “Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community?”

Hours later, her husband chimed in. On his Truth Social account, he described the “in no way funny” host’s assertion as “really shocking.
I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kimmel’s despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything that he said, but this is something far beyond the pale.”
The president also ended his statement with a call for action to ABC.
“Jimmy Kimmel should be immediately fired by Disney and ABC. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” he concluded.
On Monday, April 27, the host responded to the first couple’s reactions to his “light roast.”
After making another jab about their age distinction, he clarified it was “not, by any stretch of the definition, a call to assassination. And they know that,” referencing the capturing that occurred at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
