There is no denying the Celebrity Traitors solid for this 12 months has some huge names in the world of showbiz, but I’ve some issues. Some huge actors and comedians have been thrown into the combo, and our eyeliner-loving presenting queen, (*2*)Claudia Winkleman, is returning to host the beloved BBC programme. However, I’m not satisfied last 12 months’s movie star series will be topped.

Call me biased, but Alan Carr was one of the explanations for the show’s triumph – and everybody was rooting for the 49-year-old comedy legend to win as a Traitor. Alan went from a swetty mess the second he grew to become a Traitor to the king of deceit as he managed to idiot your complete solid and win the series.

The finale was genuinely tv gold, and I liked every second, as effectively as having a look at X to see the live commentary from other viewers glued to their screens. It was such a disgrace for the series to be over, as every second of every episode was good!

So when I came upon a second series of Celebrity Traitors was being recommissioned, I immediately thought it was a big risk for the BBC, as it will be unimaginable to top Alan’s season.

If no one warms to the solid as they did to people in last 12 months’s series, such as Ceila Imrie, Kate Garraway, Nick Mohammed and Stephen Fry, they are going to be fast to criticise the show or abort it altogether.

It must be nerve-racking for the 2026 solid, as certainly they may need to play the sport to the best of their capability while also defending their public personas. If BBC viewers don’t like them, being half of Celebrity Traitors may very well be damaging to their reputations.
