Ray killed his mom on New Year’s Day, shortly before assembly a related destiny at the fingers of Bear. The traumatised former wrestler murdered Ray at Tenant House after the drug vendor threatened to hurt Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle).
Instead of calling the police, Paddy and Dylan tried to cowl up Ray’s death, weeks before a guilty Bear confessed to the crime, ensuing in his incarceration forward of a trial. This week, Emmerdale has been airing Bear, Paddy, and Dylan’s court trial, with a jury being urged to resolve whether or not any of them is guilty.

During Tuesday’s (May 5) episode, which is now streaming on ITVX, Paddy and the household nervously arrived at court before Bear’s testimony to see whether or not Bear would make or break the case.
The stress lessened briefly when Bear’s counsellor gave a highly effective professional testimony, explaining that Bear was groomed by Ray and feared for his life. With his household watching encouragingly, a nervous Bear then took to the witness stand to start his own testimony.
A apprehensive Bear, Paddy, and Dylan then anxiously awaited the verdict. Later, the jury foreman revealed that they had discovered one defendant guilty and the other two not guilty. While many viewers could assume the guilty social gathering was Bear, it was really Paddy who acquired a 12-month suspended sentence, to be served over two years.
“A man died, and even though he was evil and he was cruel, someone had to be held accountable for that,” Paddy said after the trial had ended.
Despite the highly effective scenes, many Emmerdale fans had been left unimpressed, with some even turning the episode off, as they felt the music did not match the cleaning soap’s traditional format.
