Yankees Anthony Volpe tells The Post there are…

WORCESTER, Mass. — Anthony Volpe began at shortstop for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday evening.

Beyond that, Volpe doesn’t have many solutions after being optioned to the minors following his rehab stint as he got here back from offseason surgical procedure on his left shoulder.

While many have been stunned the Yankees optioned the 25-year-old in favor of preserving José Caballero at short in The Bronx, Volpe said: “I don’t know. There are things I can control [and] things I can’t. I’m ready to go here.”

And although he remained at short against Triple-A Worcester at Polar Park, the Yankees haven’t ruled out the likelihood of transferring Volpe around the infield, particularly given the presence of George Lombard Jr. on the SWB roster as the 20-year-old Lombard shoots through the minor league system.
